[Euro U21] Group B Matchday 2 Review

Group B - Matchday 2
SPAIN 0-2 ENGLAND
Gamla Ullevi Stadium, Gothenburg
England Under-21s are the first team to secure their place in the semi-finals of the UEFA European Under-21 Championships with a 2-0 win over Spain. After a relatively low-key first half, which saw James Milner miss a penalty, England came back out and goals from substitute Fraizer Campbell and Milner saw off their opposition, who now look like joining Finland on the road home as the Germans only need to avoid defeat against England on the final matchday.

GERMANY 2-0 FINLAND
Orjans vall Stadium, Halmstad
Germany sent Finland crashing out of the European Under-21 Championship with a 2-0 win at the Orjans Vall Stadium. Germany, one of the tournament favourites, were made to work hard by a stubborn Finnish side who also caused the Germans some concern in the first half. However, two quick-fire second-half goals from Benedikt Howedes and Ashkan Dejagah were enough to seal the win which sends the Finns home and puts Germany in strong contention for a spot in the semi finals.
